The American Society of Nephrology (ASN) is the definitive US professional society for kidney medicine and science. Founded in 1966 and headquartered in Washington, DC, ASN represents more than 20,000 physicians and scientists worldwide and publishes three peer-reviewed journals: the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology (JASN, established 1990), the Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology (CJASN, established 2006), and the fully open-access Kidney360 (launched 2020).
