Abstract: A vehicle height control system includes a plurality of vehicle height adjusters actuated by a hydropneumatic actuating system and controlled by control signals from a control unit The control unit calculates, for each of the vehicle height adjusters, a target difference between a target adjustment position set by a setting device and an actual position detected by a vehicle height sensor associated with the adjuster, and the control unit generates the control signals in accordance with the respective target differences The control unit further selects a maximum target difference, and calculates deviations of the target differences from the maximum target difference When any of the deviations exceeds a predetermined value, the adjustment operation of the vehicle height adjuster associated with this deviation is temporarily stopped thereby correcting the nonuniformity of the adjustments in the vehicle height adjusters

Vehicle suspension system
Christopher Brian Heyring
- 21 Mar 1990
TL;DR: In this article, a vehicle having a suspension comprising a double acting ram (13, 14, 17, 18) connecting each wheel (1, 2, 3, 4) independently to the body of the vehicle, each ram having respective first (13a, 14a, 17a, 18a) and second (13b, 14b, 17b, 18b) chambers that vary in volume as the wheels move relative to the vehicle body.

Vibration control apparatus
TL;DR: In this article, a vibration control apparatus detects a physical value influencing characteristics of a suspension for supporting a vibrating body and a state value representing movement of the suspension, calculates an optimal target control force in consideration of an external force or disturbance acting on the suspension on the basis of the physical and state values as outputs from the state detecting means.

Vehicle height adjust control apparatus and method
Shoichi Shono,Atushi Sato +1 more
- 05 Oct 1998
TL;DR: A vehicle height adjust control apparatus includes a plurality of actuators provided between a vehicle body and a vehicle's wheels that are capable of changing the actual vehicle height at individual wheel positions by controlling the actuators if the vehicle height detected by the height detector are deviated from the corresponding target vehicle heights by at least a predetermined value toward the same side.
