TL;DR: Prolonged labor is a cause of maternal death. Pregnancy exercise is beneficial for pregnant women. The community service aims to increase pregnant women's knowledge about pregnancy exercise and teach them how to practice it correctly.

Abstract: One of the causes of maternal death is prolonged labor (5%). Long parturition is one of several causes of maternal and newborn mortality. Prolonged labor is labor that lasts more than 18 hours starting from the signs of labor. Prolonged labor will cause infection, exhaustion, dehydration of the mother, sometimes infection, injury and asphyxia can occur which can increase infant mortality. Based on WHO data, it is found that every minute a woman dies due to complications related to the process of pregnancy and childbirth. Pregnancy exercise is one of the sports activities that mothers can do during pregnancy. The purpose of this community service is to increase the knowledge of pregnant women about pregnancy exercise and teach pregnancy exercise. The target of community service is 25 pregnant women in the practice midwife, Susi Irma Novia, Bengkulu City. This service begins with health education about pregnancy exercise and then continues with the practice of pregnancy exercise. The result of community service was an increase in knowledge of 48% from before counseling was given to after counseling was given. Pregnant women are also able to practice pregnancy exercises correctly.
