Abstract: A touch panel defines a touch area and a trace area surrounding the touch area. The touch panel includes a substrate, a plurality of traces formed on the substrate and located in the trace area, and a metal layer covering each trace. A method for preparing the touch panel is also provided. By providing a metal layer on the trace, the performance of the trace can be effectively improved.
