Abstract: The invention discloses a three-dimensional reconstruction method for a large-scale outdoor scene. The three-dimensional reconstruction method for the large-scale outdoor scene comprises the following steps of: using a multi-camera acquisition system, acquiring the images of the outdoor scene at different sight points, and calibrating the parameters of cameras; dividing the multiple cameras into camera clusters according to the relative position relationships and the imaging ranges of the cameras in the multi-camera acquisition system; for the cameras in the same cluster, recovering the three-dimensional structures of local areas in the scene according to the shot images; and performing registration and fusion on the three-dimensional reconstruction results of the different local areas, and recovering the three-dimensional structure of a full-shooting range in the scene. In the three-dimensional reconstruction method for the large-scale outdoor scene disclosed by the invention, the spatial information of the outdoor scene in the full-shooting range is recovered by the three-dimensional reconstruction results of the local areas, according to the images acquired at multiple sight points, and by using the multi-camera acquisition system with a specific structure, and a camera self-calibration method based on the outdoor scene; the reconstruction range is large; and the method is definite in principle and low in realization method.
