PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape feeder setup unit that can perform a setup operation for setting a tape wound around a tape reel to a tape feeder having a motor-driven tape feeding mechanism, and whose installation space can be saved.SOLUTION: A tape feeder setup unit 30 for pitch-feeding a tape supplied from a tape reel R1 by a motor-driven tape feeding mechanism, and setting the tape wound around the tape reel R1 to a tape feeder sequentially feeding electronic components held by the tape to a pickup position of an electronic component mounting device has: a tape feeder support part 31 for supporting one part of a tape feeder 10; and a reel holder 32 for holding the tape reel R1. The tape feeder support part 31 has a power supply part 33 for supplying power to the tape feeder, and the reel holder 32 is provided so that it can swing in a vertical plane, and can be fixed at a swing position, at which it is swung from an initial position of a vertical posture.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component feed device and a method of replacing tape feeder by which workability in replacing a tape feeder is improved, and a mechanism is simplified. SOLUTION: In this method of replacing tape feeder by which the tape feeder is replaced at switchover of kind, the tape feeder 8 is held by a feeder holding table 12 of the electronic component feeding device 10 in a prescribed arraying order in advance, and further a feeding reel 14 and a recovering reel 16 are fitted to a carriage 11 transporting the holding table 12, before the tape feeder 8 is fitted to an electronic component mounting device. At switchover of kind, the carriage 11 is positioned to an electronic component feeding part, and under this condition, the feeder 8 is detached from the holding table 12 and moved to a feeder base of the electronic component mounting device, and the carriage 11 is contained at a prescribed position under the feeder base. Thereby workability at switchover of kind is improved, and simplification of mechanism is realized, by omitting a positioning mechanism for the feeder base.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component mounting device that prevents a control processing time from increasing by lightening a control load on a controller of a device body section, and to provide a control method for a tape feeder of the electronic component mounting device. SOLUTION: The electronic component mounting device is configured such that a truck 5 mounted with a plurality of tape feeders 6 is arranged at a component supply section 4. The truck 5 is provided with a truck control section 30 which performs operation control over the truck 5 and also controls feeder control units 40 of the plurality of tape feeders 6 mounted on the truck 5, and the truck control section 30 is made to perform processing for monitoring a loading state and an operation state of each tape feeder 6 of the truck 5 by sending and receiving signals to and from each feeder control unit 40 and processing for setting operation parameters for tape feeding targeting the tape feeder 6 by writing data to a storage unit of each feeder control unit 40, thereby lightening the control load on the body control section 20.
