Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a switch device for remote control system which can convert the address, and the setting of the sort of the terminal unit and the like simply without using dip switches. CONSTITUTION:A switch unit 8 has a built-in printed base 31 mounting a circuit as a terminal unit for control, an EEPROM 83 to write the set data of the proper address and the sort, and furthermore, a light receiving element 81 to receive the data to be written to to the EEPROM 83 by the optical wireless signal from the outside, a luminous element 80 to transmit the written data to the outside, and the like, inside a main body 30. At the side of the main body 30, a light transmitting and receiving hole 33 for the luminous element 80 and the receiving element 81 to be the optical wireless luminous circuit and the optical wireless receiver circuit is opened. And a transparent window 82 to allow to transmit the wireless signals is provided on a face plate 48A stuck to the side surface of the main body 30 at the position corresponding to the above light transmitting and receiving hole 33.
