Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a subtitle output device, a subtitle output method and a program, for outputting a subtitle with little delay in a real-time broadcasting. SOLUTION: A subtitle unit sentence creating section 14 creates a plurality of subtitle unit sentences by dividing an input text sentence into output units of the subtitle. A voice recognition unit sentence creating section 13 creates a plurality of voice recognition unit sentences by dividing the input text sentence into processing units of voice recognition. A viterbi network creating section 15 creates a viterbi network for voice recognition of each voice recognition unit sentence, and a network for detecting a subtitle head. A voice recognition section 16 performs voice recognition processing by sequentially collating voice in which the text sentence is uttered, with each voice recognition candidate phrase constituting the viterbi network. A subtitle unit sentence output section 17, when the voice recognition processing of a whole recognition candidate phrase constituting the network for detecting the subtitle head is finished, outputs the corresponding subtitle unit sentence.
