Abstract: The invention discloses a speed controller parameter optimization method for suppressing the ultralow-frequency oscillation of a hydropower generating set based on a critical parameter. The method discovers, based on a characteristic equation expression equation of the hydroelectric generating set, that the reason of the ultralow frequency oscillation is that the speed controller has an over-low ratio of the proportion parameter to the integral parameter. According to a mechanism analysis conclusion, the method comprises three following steps of: (1) setting the integral parameter and the differential parameter of the speed controller; (2) searching the critical proportion parameter of the speed controller; (3) optimizing the proportion parameter of the speed controller. The method can obviously suppress the ultralow-frequency oscillation by optimizing the parameter of the speed controller in the system, and is easy to operate and suitable for software offline simulation.
