Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable correct representation, by checking the distinction of lateral and longitudinal writing before print and printing them after rewriting into exclusive character patterns. CONSTITUTION:If the character code obtained from the character code train external memory section 14 is specific code, the presence of the character code fed from the specific code detection section 15 to the character pattern cash memory 13 corresponding to them is checked. As a result, if not present, the converter 16 feeds the address of the character pattern external memory 11 and that of the memory 13 to the character pattern transfer control section 12. The control section 12 reads out the character pattern from the memory section 11 and writes in it to the memory 13. The conversion section 16 rewrites the character pattern of the memory section 20. Further, it is transferred from the conversion section 16 to the printer control section 17 and printed on the printer 18.
