TL;DR: Chlorine dioxide is produced from two reactors, the first reacting sodium chlorate, sodium chloride and/or hydrogen chloride, and sulphuric acid at an acidity in excess of 4.8N to deposit sodium acid sulphate, and a sulphate-ion material which is constituted at least in part by the sodium sulphate deposited in the first reaction.
