Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa ciri-ciri arus lalulintas pada level F sesuai dengan pengamatan pada lokasi studi. Sering terjadi antrian panjang kendaraan, kepadatan lalulintas sangat tinggi dan volume rendah serta terjadi kemacetan untuk durasi cukup lama. Demikian pula dengan ciri arus lalulintas pada level E yaitu volume lalulintas mendekati kapasitas jalan, kecepatan sangat rendah, serta kadangkala terjadi antrian kendaraan. Solusi yang diusulkan untuk memperbaiki kinerja ruas jalan Jhoni Anwar dan Gadjah Mada adalah mengurangi hambatan samping disisi kiri dan kanan jalan, merubah tipe jalan dari 2 lajur 2 arah menjadi 4 lajur dua arah. Dengan usulan solusi tersebut prediksi peningkatan kapasitas menjadi 5.023 smp/jam, sehingga tingkat pelayanan untuk kedua ruas jalan tersebut berada pada level C.
