TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a replication management system that can create a new replication process independently of other processes in a distributed manner by reserving a resource acquired by the entity process in at least one of the other nodes except the node with which the replication process created.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a replication management system that can create a new replication process independently of other processes. SOLUTION: Each of a plurality of nodes 100-1 to 100-4 has one or more resources and is connected via a network 200. Each of the nodes 100-1 to 100-4 has a replication management part for responding to the start of an entity process of a user program by creating a replication process of the entity process in at least one of the other nodes, and a resource reservation part for reserving a resource acquired by the entity process in at least one of the other nodes except the node with which the replication process created. The replication management part creates a new replication process replacing the above replication process in the reserved node. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a method for safely interrupting a blocked work within a server by creating a registry, registering a potentially blocked event in the registry, executing the potentially blocked events, determining that the potentially-blocked event gives no response, accessing a registry entry corresponding to this blocked event, and taking a correction measure shown in registry entries corresponding to the blocked event.
