Abstract: Laser ablation mass spectrometry has been used for analysis of metal elements in inorganic species. On the other hand, matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI/TOF MS) has been developed for analysis of thermally labile organic compounds with large molecular weight. However, this method has rarely been used for inorganic analysis. Thus, we applied MALDI/MS to analysis of inorganic species and reported the new type of mass spectra of test species by using of chelating agents as matrices. 2) With this method, not only metal elements could be detected, but also the oxidation states of the metals could be observed from the mass spectra, when suitable chelating agents were used. In this work, the detection of metal elements such as Cu in Cu2O and CuO, and Fe in iron powder and Fe2O3 was attempted, and the suitable chelating agents for identifying the oxidation states of the metals were studied. This method was also successfully applied to the detection of metal elements (Fe and S) in a crystalline stone (Mineral objection).

Syntactic Complexity Measures and Their Relationship to L2 Proficiency: A Research Synthesis of College-Level L2 Writing.
TL;DR: This article evaluated the cumulative evidence on the use of syntactic complexity measures as indices of college-level L2 writers' overall proficiency in the target language and concluded that the relationship between L2 proficiency and L2 writing syntactical complexity varied systematically across studies depending on whether a second or a foreign language learning context was investigated and whether proficiency was defined by programme level or by holistic rating.

TL;DR: A new model for the classification of collaborative writing tools is proposed, which categorize most popular existing collaborative tools and proposes novel working modes that are not adopted by existing tools and that improve the process of collaboration.
