Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a real-time analysis method for software which can optionally perform the additional insertion and deletion of an instruction dedicated to debugging which generates a debug event, without causing variations in ROM size, deterioration in optimization, or performance deterioration in spite of insertion of the instruction dedicated to debugging into software to be analyzed. SOLUTION: Disclosed is the real-time analysis method for software capable of optionally specifying the debug, event without influencing the ROM size, optimum, and performance of the software to be analyzed by a processor which has an instruction dedicated to debugging and performs parallel instruction execution, a program converting means of previously securing a ROM area for inserting the instruction dedicated to debugging in the software to be analyzed, a program-converting means and a debugger that can substitute the instruction dedicated to debugging for instructions in the ROM area, and a debugging device can optionally control the generation timing of the debug event with arguments of the instruction dedicated to debugging.
