TL;DR: A survey of pure-injective modules can be found in this article, where the authors present and illustrate the definitions and a number of the results around the notion of pure embeddings.

Abstract: The pure-injective $R$-modules are defined easily enough: as those
modules which are injective over all pure embeddings, where an
embedding $ A\rightarrow B $ is said to be pure if every finite
system of $ R$-linear equations with constants from $ A $ and a
solution in $ B $ has a solution in $ A. $ But the definition itself
gives no indication of the rich theory around purity and
pure-injectivity. The purpose of this survey is to present and
illustrate the definitions and a number of the results around
pure-injective modules.

Mittag-Leffler conditions on modules
TL;DR: In this article, Mittag-Leffler conditions on modules providing relative versions of classical results by Raynaud and Gruson are studied and a new argument for solving the Baer splitting problem is given.

Change of rings and singularity categories
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigate the behavior of singularity categories and stable categories of Gorenstein projective modules along a morphism of rings and establish an explicit construction of a right adjoint functor between certain homotopy categories.

Comultiplication modules over a pullback of Dedekind domains
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors give complete description of the comultiplication modules over a Dedekind domain, and if R is the pullback of two local domains, then they classify all indecomposable COMPLICATION R-modules and establish a connection between the COMPLICA modules and the pure-injective modules over such domains.
On the Pure-injectivity Profile of a Ring
TL;DR: An analog of the injective profile of a ring, with relative injectivity replaced by relative pure-injectivity, is investigated in this article, where emphasis is placed on comparing and contrasting the properties of both profiles.

TL;DR: The concepts of locally presentable categories and an accessible category have turned out to be extremely useful in creating connections between universal algebra, model-theory, logic and computer science as discussed by the authors.

Approximations and Endomorphism Algebras of Modules
Rüdiger Göbel,Jan Trlifaj +1 more
- 01 Jan 2006
TL;DR: Approximations and endomorphism algebras of modules have been studied extensively in the literature since 2006 as mentioned in this paper, with a focus on the impossibility of classification for modules over general rings.

Locally finitely presented additive categories
TL;DR: In this paper, Locally finitely presented additive categories are defined and discussed in terms of additive categories in algebraic algebraic programs. Communications in Algebra: Vol. 22, No. 5, pp. 1641-1674.
