TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed an optical path separating means for separating the optical paths of image-forming light and imaging light from each other between an imageforming means and a projection optical system, and oblique projection conditions were set so that a specular reflection light component PN by the projection surface 11 of projected light LP is not made incident on the projected optical system.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection optical device with an imaging function, which is capable of effectively preventing the degradation of the image quality of a picked-up image due to a hot spot. SOLUTION: The projection optical device with the imaging function includes an optical path separating means 7 for separating the optical paths of image-forming light and imaging light from each other between an image-forming means and a projection optical system, and an original image displayed on the image-forming means is obliquely projected onto a projection surface 11 by the projection optical system 9. Oblique projection conditions are set so that a specular reflection light component PN by the projection surface 11 of projected light LP is not made incident on the projection optical system 9. - 14 Dec 2001
TL;DR: In this paper, a reflection type projector unit displays the focused image onto the screen, by making the luminous flux reflected by the screen incident on a photodetector 11 again via the projection lens 8 and the polarization beam splitter 6 and causing a focusing control section 12 to drive the focal position varying mechanism 10, according to the signal outputted from the photodeterector by the incidence of the reflected luminous fluid.
