Abstract: An optical data processing system employing a programmable optical data processor for processing an optical data beam comprising a plurality of zero, one and two-dimensional modulators for spatially modulating the optical data beam, the modulators being interconnected such that lenses are not necessary to accomplish the focusless transfer of the optical data beam between the modulators. The plurality of modulators are controlled so as to permit the programmable processing of the optical data beam. The optical data processor realized is physically solid and compact and is readily capable of performing a wide variety of optical computations.

System and method for additive manufacturing of an object
Diana Ravich,Eduardo Napadensky +1 more
- 28 Nov 2011
TL;DR: A method of additive manufacturing of a three-dimensional object is described in this article, which comprises sequentially forming a plurality of layers in a configured pattern corresponding to the shape of the object each layer is formed by dispensing at least one modeling material to form an uncured layer, and curing the uncured layers by radiation.

Method and apparatus for locating a two-dimensional symbol using a double template
Joe Zheng,Lai Jiansu +1 more
- 01 Mar 1994
TL;DR: In this article, a double template is used for locating the acquisition target of a two-dimensional symbol in a pixel image. But the double template does not have the ability to be used for the localization of the target.

Data processing systems and methods for linear programming
Karel Zikan,Thomas P. Caudell +1 more
- 28 Mar 1991
TL;DR: In this paper, an optical (100) or digital (150) processors were employed to perform Gaussian pivot operations by performing outer product matrix operations in parallel. But the results in a greatly improved speed in solving linear programs over prior techniques involving sequential computing.
