Abstract: PURPOSE: To apply the same process input/output controller even for the different control elements of a process control auxiliary device by securing a plant control method capable of selecting plural control patterns in the process input/ output controller for the hardware of different control elements. CONSTITUTION: Plural control patterns can be selected in the process input/ output controller 4. The input signal received from a process control input group 13a undergoes the level conversion by the controller 4 via a process control auxiliary device 11a and are fetched by an analog logical conversion control circuit 5a and a digital logical conversion control circuit 6a respectively. The analog/digital signal information is partly fetched by a process controller 1. This fetched information is partly processed into the feedback information in both circuits 5a and 6a by the selected control logic and then sent to the device 11a through an analog output conversion circuit 8a and a digital output conversion circuit 10a to control the group 13a.
