Abstract: A position management method and a system for implementing multi-home terminals in an integrated network comprise a home domain and an external domain. The home domain of the multi-home terminals is a domain where an accessing switching router connected to an interface of the multi-home terminals is, and other domains are the external domains. Each home domain and external domain have at least one mapping server for storing and managing the terminal mapping information in the domain, and at least one accessing switching router for distributing the terminal mapping information. The invention enables the multi-home implementing method in an internet to be easy, the network resource to be fully utilized and the network manager to easily control and manage the multi-home users.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method for realizing a mapping relation between an identity and a position in the technical field of computer networks is proposed, which comprises the following steps of: dividing a network into management domains; configuring at least one mapping server connected with other management domains in each management domain, wherein the mapping server stores home domain information; sending an update message to a peer-to-peer mapping server of the mapping servers; updating the home domain of the P2P mapping server according to the update message by the peer to peer mapping server.
