Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate a necessity for moving and overlapping a picture by one dot, to reduce the quantity of operation, to eliminate the change of a picture and a picture and to attain a processing of good quality by moving a contour once by the desired quantity of movement at the time of a picture processing. CONSTITUTION:Data is inputted to a CPU 21 through an interface 23 from the input device 22 of a picture processing system, the entirety of the system is controlled in the CPU 21, the inputted data is temporarily stored in a RAM 24 and the coordinates of the extended and degenerating positions of a contour feature point are calculated according to a program stored in a ROM 25. This calculated result is developed to a picture bit map memory 26, developed data is outputted to an output device 28 through the interface 23 via a painting-out circuit 27. A point for specifying the contour of the picture is moved, thickened or thinned to obtain the contour and the contour feature point of the contour of the picture is moved.
