Mechanochemical synthesis of kaolin–KH2PO4 and kaolin–NH4H2PO4 complexes for application as slow release fertilizer
TL;DR: In this paper, a milling process to reduce kaolin to amorphous phase in the presence of NH2PO4 or NH4H2P4 and allow mechanochemical reaction for incorporation of KH 2PO4 and NH4P4 into the kaolin structure was investigated.

Growth and phase transformation of nanometer-sized titanium oxide powders produced by the precipitation method
Gwan Hyoung Lee,Jian-Min Zuo +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, an in situ TEM investigation of the growth and transformation in nanometer-sized titania powders was conducted, where the powders were produced through precipitation of titanium tetrachloride under different pH conditions.

A combustion synthesis process for synthesizing nanocrystalline zirconia powders
TL;DR: In this article, a method based on combustion synthesis for preparing nanocrystalline powders was investigated, and the characteristics of the powder (e.g., surface area and phase content) were found to depend strongly on the fuel content in the starting mixture and on the ignition temperature used in the process.

Growth of alkali halides by molecular-beam epitaxy
M. H. Yang,C. P. Flynn +1 more
TL;DR: Alkali halide single crystals are shown to grow well from molecular beams over a wide temperature range {similar to}(0.1--0.5){ital T}{sub {ital m}}, where {ital T} is the melting temperature.
