Techno–Economic Evaluation of Technologies to Mitigate Greenhouse Gas Emissions at North American Refineries
TL;DR: A sensitivity analysis of the quality of input crude to a refinery, refinery configuration, and prices of natural gas and electricity revealed how the magnitude of possible CO2 emissions reductions and the economic performance of the mitigation technologies can vary under different conditions.

Development of a vaporization system for direct determination of chlorine in petroleum coke by ICP-MS
Fabiane G. Antes,Eduardo Dullius,Adilson Ben da Costa,Rolf Fredi Molz,José N. G. Paniz,Erico M.M. Flores,Valderi L. Dressler +6 more
TL;DR: An electrothermal vaporization system (ETV) was developed for direct chlorine (Cl) determination in petroleum coke by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) as mentioned in this paper.

Optimization of Process Parameters for Glycol Unit to Mitigate the Emission of BTEX/VOCs
A.M. Braek,Reyadh A. Almehaideb,Naif A. Darwish,R. Hughes +3 more
- 01 Jan 2000
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors focus on the glycol dehydration unit for one of the onshore oil and gas processing facilities in Abu Dhabi operated by Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO).

Retrofit application of traditional petroleum chemical technologies to coal chemical industry for sustainable energy-efficiency production
TL;DR: In this paper, a case about the recovery and separation of coal pyrolysis products using a process that has a similar structure compare with FCC fractionator was provided, and the results showed that the integration process gives a 41.27% reduction in total annual cost with total product yield almost unchanged, and achieves a total economic cost with a positive value of 15.74% by saturated steam generation.

Economic impacts of feeding microalgae/wood blends to hydrothermal liquefaction and upgrading systems
Yunhua Zhu,Susanne B. Jones,Andrew J. Schmidt,Justin M. Billing,Daniel M. Santosa,Daniel B. Anderson +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed the techno-economic analysis (TEA) for a blended feedstock HTL and biocrude upgrading system, which showed that the minimum fuel selling price (MFSP) was reduced by 21% and the conversion only cost (excluding cost for feedstock), compared to the algae-only case.
