Abstract: A pedigree information simplification-based breeding method for selecting high-production performance A2A2 homozygous genotype dairy cattle: by means of determining dairy cattle production performance, collecting individual pedigree data and phenotype data of dairy cattle, and combining a paternal β casein genotype result, carrying out genetic assessment to obtain the breeding values of milk yield, milk fat yield, milk protein yield, and milk protein percentage; by means of calculating an individual high productivity index (HPI) and analyzing the same, obtaining a high-production A2A2 homozygous individual. The workload of the actual production process on a cattle farm is greatly reduced by means of applying large-group screening of daily DHI data; the breeding method may quickly, simply and accurately screen out A2A2 homozygous individuals among a herd of cattle.
