Sorption Behavior of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons in Soil–Water System Containing Nonionic Surfactant
TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the sorption behavior of PAHs (solutes) in soil-water systems containing surfactants with the objectives of better understanding the fate of contaminants in natural systems and the feasibility of using surfactant for remediation of contaminated soils.

Partition Isotherms of Chlorobenzenes in a Sediment–Water System
TL;DR: Partition experiments for a series of chlorobenzenes, 1,4dichlorobenzene (1,4-DCB), 1,3,5-trichloromethane(1,3-5-TCB) and 1,2,4,5tetrachlorobenenzene(1 2, 4, 5-TeCB) were carried out and the sediment-water partition isotherms for the chlorobenzes were determined.

TL;DR: In this paper, 36 soil samples with far-ranging ratios of clay to organic carbon were used to examine contribution of minerals on soil sorption of pentachlorophenol (PCP) and phenanthrene (PHE), with the most fitted K d values screened out for quantification of the net mineral contribution to total sorption via development of mathematical model accounting for associations between minerals and SOM.
