A New Wz Factorization For Parallel Solution Of Tridiagonal Systems
M. M. Chawla,R. R. Khazal +1 more
TL;DR: It is shown that if the given system is nonsingular and diagonally dominant, then within each block the WZ factorization exists and is (numerically) strongly stable, and the solution across the partitioning blocks exists (does not terminate prematurely).

Short Communication: Array size anomaly of problem-size independent systolic arrays for matrix-vector multiplication
Yen-Chun Lin
- 01 Jul 1991
TL;DR: A simple method for obtaining problem-size independent systolic arrays from a certain type of problem- size dependent systols, and the resulting array is fully fault-tolerant in the sense that a faulty processing element can be bypassed and the same problem of the original size can be solved.

Dynamic task migration from SIMD to SPMD virtual machines
James B. Armstrong,Howard Jay Siegel +1 more
- 06 Nov 1995
TL;DR: A method to migrate a task dynamically from a virtual SIMD machine to a virtual SPMD machine is proposed, and the compiler information that should be furnished to the task migration procedure is given.

Memory-Coupled Processor Arrays for a Broad Spectrum of Applications
TL;DR: Two memory-coupled multiprocessor systems are presented and results obtained from computation of a number of applications are reported.

VIM film system
N. Mirenkov,T. Mirenkova +1 more
- 05 Nov 1995
TL;DR: An experimental version of the VIM film system is reported on that allows one to make use of special-purpose animation film as a new form of knowledge unit for the interactive specification of application algorithms as well as for very-high-level parallel programming.
