Abstract: This study examines the impact of organizational resilience on innovation performance and firm performance in the hospitality sector in Ghana.Using data from key informants within the hospitality landscape, the findings indicate that organizational resilience has a positive and significant impact on innovation performance.Specifically, our results suggest that firms that develop resilience capabilities are more likely to engage in exploratory innovation, which involves developing new products, services, or business models that are not directly related to existing offerings.We also find that firms that invest in developing resilience capabilities, foster a culture of innovation, and focus on incremental innovations are more likely to achieve competitive advantage and long-term success.In addition, social ties appear to be particularly important for firms that are more resilient.These findings have important implications for managers in the hospitality industry in Ghana, as they highlight the importance of developing resilience capabilities to facilitate innovation and enhance firm performance in a highly uncertain and volatile industry.

Learning climate as a catalyst for knowledge-based HRM, resilience and innovation performance among hospitality professionals: a S-O-R theory approach

Abstract: Purpose Drawing on stimulus-organism-response (S-O-R) theory, this study aims to investigate whether and how knowledge-based human resource management practices (KBHRMPs) influence organizational resilience among hospitality professionals. This study further examines the impact of organizational resilience on hospitality professionals’ innovation performance. Additionally, it examines the mediating role of the learning climate between KBHRMPs and organizational resilience. Design/methodology/approach Multiple sampling techniques, including purposive and snowball methods, were used to collect data from hospitality professionals working in three-, four- and five-star hotels in Pakistan. Data were collected from 219 respondents. Partial least squares structural equation modeling, using SmartPLS 4.0, was used to examine the proposed hypotheses. Findings The results indicate that all KBHRMPs (e.g. knowledge-based training, knowledge-based performance assessment and knowledge-based compensation) have a positive and statistically significant influence on hospitality professionals’ perceptions of the learning climate in the organization, except for knowledge-based recruitment. Moreover, the learning climate is found to be a predictor of organizational resilience, which in turn increases hospitality professionals’ innovation performance. The findings also confirm that the learning climate mediates the relationship between KBHRMPs and organizational resilience. Originality/value To date, limited research has been conducted to confirm whether and how KBHRMPs influence the learning climate and organizational resilience. Notably, the mediating role of the learning climate remains unexplored. Thus, this study aims to fill these gaps. Furthermore, the unexpected findings of an insignificant relationship between knowledge-based recruitment and the learning climate open new avenues for future research.
Örgüt Kültürü, Örgütsel Dayanıklılık ve Firma Performansı Algısı İlişkisi: Bankacılık Sektöründe Bir Araştırma

Abstract: Bu çalışma, örgüt kültürünün firma performansı üzerindeki etkisini belirlemeyi ve bu etkide örgütsel dayanıklılığın aracı bir rol oynayıp oynamadığını araştırmayı amaçlamaktadır. Araştırma kapsamında toplanan 506 katılımcıya ait verilerin analizi için SPSS programı kullanılmıştır. Verilerin dağılım özelliklerini belirlemek üzere normallik testleri uygulanmış, ölçüm araçlarının tutarlılığı ve geçerliliği güvenirlik ve geçerlilik analizleriyle incelenmiştir. Ayrıca faktör analizi ile değişkenlerin altında yatan yapılar ortaya konulmuş, korelasyon ve regresyon analizleriyle değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiler ve nedensel etkiler araştırılmıştır. Bu araştırma güçlü bir örgüt kültürünün hem örgütsel dayanıklılığı artırdığını hem de firma performansı algısını olumlu yönde etkilediğini göstermektedir. Ayrıca örgütsel dayanıklılığın, örgüt kültürü ile firma performansı algısı arasındaki ilişkide kısmı aracılık rolü gösterdiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
