Spatial structure of urban agglomeration under the impact of high-speed railway construction: Based on the social network analysis
TL;DR: Zhang et al. as mentioned in this paper explored the impact of high-speed rail (HSR) on the evolution of urban agglomeration spatial structure and found that HSR can improve the point centrality of moderately developed cities by 0.87, reduce the spatial connection and stability of spatial structure, and make more cities enter the core subgroup faster.

China's high-speed rail network construction and planning over time: a network analysis
TL;DR: The evolutionary process and regularity of CHSRN development is evaluated with various complex network measures and it is found that the degree and eccentricity of each Tier 1 city increase over time, but the pagerank of almost all Tier 1 cities decreases from 2007–2017 to 2018–2030.

Structural vulnerability and intervention of high speed railway networks
TL;DR: It is found that high speed railway networks are very fragile when suffering serious disturbances and two attack rules can cause analogous damages to one high speed rail network, which illustrates that the station with large degree possesses high betweenness, vice versa.

A Carbon Footprint of High-Speed Railways in China: A Case Study of the Beijing-Shanghai Line
TL;DR: In this article, a hybrid economic input-output and life cycle assessment (EIO-LCA) method was applied to estimate the carbon footprint of the Beijing-Shanghai HSR line.

Analyzing the Key Drivers of Contractors’ Temporary Competitive Advantage in the Competition of International High-speed Rail Projects
TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors developed a temporary competitive advantage system that reflects the characteristics of high-speed rail (HSR) contractors in the corporation and project levels, and two case study projects were selected to investigate the competitive situation between CRH (China Railway High-speed) and Shinkansen (Japan) in the international HSR market.

Study on Relative Problems of Transport Organization on High Speed Railway
TL;DR: Based on the analysis of the type of passenger flow, the task division of two lines, and by technical economy comparison with overpass passenger flow scheme, the authors in this article put forward the transport organization scheme of overpass passengers flow and the operating range of the overpass train, discussed the set-up principles for passenger stations and the reasonable distance between stations, analyzed the characteristics of section carrying capacity, and brought forward the proposal of calculation and expression of carrying capacity based on the different requirements and different times of high speed railway.
