Abstract: Paper describes an online diagnostic and control unit which can control, diagnose and partially do the prognosis of EV drive. For the EV drive control is used a vector control. Methods of processing the variables are based on fault analysis of rotating systems according frequencies at current spectra of EV induction motor. Moreover, unit can detect short circuits and monitor a partial discharge activity. These methods implemented into the unit ensure online diagnostics. The unit is based on eZdsp™ F28335 kit for its high computing performance in floating point, many analogue inputs, PWM outputs and useful peripheries.
