Abstract: PURPOSE:To make operation easy by providing a driving device consisting of grasping the part of a cable provided with a detecting part for observation at its leading end by means of a cable holder, providing wheels to the leading end of the plural arms energized by the springs on the outside circumference of said cable holder and making one of them self-travelable. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical cable holder 3 is mounted to a cable 2 provided with a detecting part 1 for observation at its leading end, near said end part, and arms 6 are provided radially at equal intervals freely turnably to this. These arms 6 are held energized outward by means of springs 7. Wheels 5 are mounted to the leading ends of the arms 6. In order to make one of these wheels 5 self-travelable, an outer rotor motor of which the outer side revolves coaxially with the wheels 5 is mounted to said wheel and is remote-operated. If this device is driven in a pipeline 4, it travels by itself even in the pipeline having bent parts and slopes, and this makes it easy to operate.
