Abstract: The invention discloses a node information acquisition method, a client and a server, wherein the method comprises the following steps of: receiving a Get command sent by the server by the client, acquiring the values of all nodes under item in the Get command, and determining that part of nodes under item fail in value getting; sending a response message carrying with a new state value to the server by the client, wherein the new state value is used for representing that the value getting of part of nodes under item fails during the execution of the Get command, and the response message carries a predefined label which is used for packaging the information of the nodes under item with successful value getting. The technical scheme of the invention can be used for acquiring useful nodes more efficiently and locating unacquirable nodes, the effectiveness of operation of the client to the Get command is increased, and the waste of network resources is avoided.
