Abstract: A node information acquirement method, client, and server is provided. Wherein the method includes: the client receives a Get command sent from the server, acquires the values of the nodes under all items of the Get command, and determines that the acquirement of the values of the nodes under a part of the items fails; and the client sends a response message with a new status value to the server, wherein the new status value is used for indicating that the acquirement of the values of the nodes under a part of the items fails when the Get command is executed, and a predetermined tag for packaging the node information under the items where the acquirement of the values is successful is carried in the response message. By utilizing the technical solution, the useful nodes can be acquired more effectively, the nodes which are not acquired can be located, the effectiveness that the client operates the Get command can be improved, and the problem that the network resources are wasted can be avoided.
