Abstract: NEBcutter, version 1.0, is a program available via a web server (http://tools.neb.com/NEBcutter) that will accept an input DNA sequence and produce a comprehensive report of the restriction enzymes that will cleave the sequence. It produces a variety of outputs including restriction enzyme maps, theoretical digests and links into the restriction enzyme database, REBASE (http://www.neb.com/rebase). Importantly, its table of recognition sites is updated daily from REBASE and it marks all sites that are potentially affected by DNA methylation (Dam, Dcm, etc.). Many options exist to choose the enzymes used for digestion, including all known specificities, subsets of those that are commercially available or sets of enzymes that produce compatible termini.

Hélène Pidon,Brigitte Ruge‐Wehling,Torsten Will,Antje Habekuß,Neele Wendler,Klaus Oldach,Anja Maasberg-Prelle,Viktor Korzun,Nils Stein +8 more
TL;DR: High-resolution mapping of Ryd4Hb, a major resistance gene to Barley yellow dwarf virus from Hordeum bulbosum, provides a targeted selection of the resistance in barley breeding.
Investigation of the relationship between monocyte chemoattractant protein 1 rs1024611 variant and severity of COVID-19

Diseño de dos metodologías moleculares para la rápida identificación de aislamientos de Staphylococcus aureus resistente a meticilina asociados a la comunidad en Colombia
Javier Antonio Escobar,Ingrid Tatiana Gómez,Martha Johanna Murillo,Betsy Esperanza Castro,Bibiana Chavarro,Ricaurte Alejandro Márquez,Natasha Vanegas +6 more
TL;DR: These two molecular methods are a convenient alternative for the rapid identification of the CAMRSA isolates, compared with other techniques such as pulsed field gel electrophoresis and multilocus sequence typing, which are time-consuming and more expensive.
SSDNA Cutter v0.0: A new in silico RFLP tool in C
TL;DR: SSNA Cutter has a significant utility in studying population diversity as it has the capability of restriction digestion of a group of linear DNA se-quences and then segregate the restriction patterns into separate groups as per similarity in the restriction maps.

Structure and function of type II restriction endonucleases
Alfred Pingoud,Albert Jeltsch +1 more
TL;DR: Type II restriction endonucleases recognize short, usually palindromic, sequences of 4-8 bp and, in the presence of Mg(2+), cleave the DNA within or in close proximity to the recognition sequence.
Effect of site-specific modification on restriction endonucleases and DNA modification methyltransferases.
TL;DR: A table of known site-specific DNA modification methyltransferases and their specificities is presented along with EMBL database accession numbers for cloned genes.
