Abstract: The multidisciplinary design optimization of solid launch vehicles with collaborative optimization method was investigated.Disciplinary analysis models for multidisciplinary design optimization were established,including conceptual model,propulsion model,aerodynamic model,mass model and trajectory model.The collaborative optimization frame was constructed.Improved collaborative optimization method with sequential strategy was proposed to resolve the design variable scale problem of system level caused by the strong-coupling disciplinary,and the multidisciplinary design optimization of solid launch vehicle was achieved.Simulation results show that takeoff mass of optimal scheme is reduced by 7.1% compared with the primary scheme.The optimization design method is highly intelligent and automatic,which may reduce the design difficulty and improve the design level.
