Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To narrow the spectral line width in each mode of optical frequency COM as well as improving S/N in mode-locked semiconductor laser equipment, and further, to achieve mode-locked semiconductor laser equipment that is simple in structure and inexpensive. SOLUTION: The mode-locked semiconductor laser equipment 10 is provided with self-excitation oscillating semiconductor laser equipment that oscillates a pulse laser beam at a cycle of τ and resonators that shut in the self-excitation oscillating semiconductor laser equipment, has a mode-locked laser beam emitter 11 for emitting a mode-locked laser beam, and has an injection laser beam emitter 12 for emitting an injection laser beam to be injected to the mode-locked laser beam. - 06 Jan 1999
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a mutual light injection method to control both an absolute wavelength and a frequency interval in a wide band at the same time by a method wherein mode synchronizing semiconductor lasers of different gain bandwidths are longitudinally connected together so as to make the leading or trailing edges of their light spectra overlap with each other.

Device for reproducing optical clock
Ono Tetsuichiro,Ito Hiroshi,Furuta Tomoshi,Takahata Kiyoto +3 more
- 05 Mar 2003
TL;DR: In this paper, a phase-locked loop for optical clock reproducing with photoelectric conversion was proposed, where an optical amplifier amplifies the branched optical signal, a photodetector converts the amplified optical signal into an electric signal, and the electric signal is supplied to the optical transmittance modulating part 5 through a band transmitting filter.
