Abstract: The invention relates to the technical field of computers and discloses a method for improving three-dimensional model rendering performance. The method comprises the following steps of (1) carrying out multi-detail LOD processing to original textures in a model object; (2) merging textures corresponding to models with shared textures in the model object after multi-detail processing to form a corresponding texture set; (3) merging multiple small textures in the texture set according to the texture of the given size to form multiple large textures of the give size; and (4) merging models corresponding to the large textures to obtain a merged model. Large-scale models are subjected to data reorganization by the texture technology, data of the rendering object is greatly reduced, the submitting frequency to the GPU is reduced, the GPU processing pressure is effectively is mitigated, and the scene rendering efficiency is improved.
