Method for drawing polygon chart and program

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for drawing chart or device for drawing a polygon where an evaluation point of a radar chart is associated with an area. SOLUTION: A data read section 12 inputs information, such as the number N of evaluation items of an evaluation target, the length M of an evaluation axis, evaluation items and scoring points from a radar chart drawing device 3. A base graphic calculating section 13 generates unit graphics (isosceles triangles) with apex angles and sides equal to the number of evaluation items. An item value corresponding graphic calculating section 14 generates the item value correspondent graphic, by obtaining the length L of two equal sides of a similar figure to the unit graphic having the apex angle 2π/N and the area, representing the item value of the corresponding evaluation item. A polygon chart drawing section 15 draws the polygon chart configured so that the index axis of the radar chart is overlapped with the center lines of the corresponding item value corresponding graphics and disposing all the item value corresponding graphics radially so that the apexes of the item value corresponding graphics overlap with the center lines on the display area of a polygon chart displaying device 16.
