Abstract: PURPOSE: A control method of a compressor of an inverter air conditioner is provided to prevent reduction of the service life by raising the oil in the compressor by a predetermined period when the compressor is operated at low frequency. CONSTITUTION: A control method of a compressor of an inverter air conditioner comprises steps of detecting the current frequency while the compressor is driving; determining whether the detected current frequency is lower than the frequency at which the compressor oil rise is not smoothly performed(100); monitoring whether the continuous time of satisfying conditions of the determining step passes the maximum time necessary for oil rise(103); and raising the compressor frequency to the frequency capable of executing oil rise when the predetermined time passed in a low frequency operation state(106).
