Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To divide data expressing digital video signals into plural channels and to enable multiple transmissions by using a transmitting system, with which the data of 8 bit word strings containing the word synchronizing data of a determined code are converted to serial data and sent out. SOLUTION: First and second 8-bit word string data based on first and second digital image information data respectively are provided, first and second 10-bit word string data are provided by applying 8-bit/10-bit converting processing to the respective first and second 8-bit word stream data, third and fourth 8-bit word string data based on the first and second 10-bit word string data respectively are provided, first and second compound 8-bit word string data are formed by inserting an additional word data group containing 8-bit word synchronizing data having the preset code to the respective third and fourth 8-bit word string data at prescribed word intervals, and the first and second compound 8-bit word string data are converted to first and second serial data respectively and sent out.
