Method and device for detecting video

Abstract: The application discloses a method and device for detecting a video. The method comprises following steps: obtaining a current frame image of a video flow; determining whether a representative frame image set contains images matched with the current frame image, wherein the representative frame image set comprises representative frame images of multiple program samples; determining the program sample corresponding to the matched representative frame image if the representative frame image set contains images matched with the current frame image and reading a mark flow corresponding to the program sample; obtaining a historical video flow which has the same time duration with that of the mark flow, wherein the historical video flow is before the current frame image in the video flow; performing similarity calculation to the historical video flow and the mark flow, and determining the program represented by the video flow at current time to be the program corresponding to the program sample when the similarity value satisfies the threshold requirement. According to the application, only when a current frame image being matched with a representative frame image of a certain program sample is determined, the follow-up step of similarity calculation process of historical video flow and program sample mark flow is carried out so that the calculation resource occupation is effectivelyreduced, and the time for program detection is shortened.
