Abstract: The invention discloses a method and device for configuring application program permission. The method comprises the steps that an application program layer monitors the behavior of installing application programs in a frame layer through a monitoring module and determines the application programs which are being installed or to be installed through monitoring to obtain installation package information containing the installation types and the permission information of the application programs; the application program permission is configured through the permission information when upgrade installation or coverage is determined through the installation types. According to the method and device, the trouble of reconfiguring software permission after a user updates software can be saved.
