TL;DR: A strong synergistic effect was observed when coupling TiO2/UVA photocatalysis with ozonation (O3/TiO2 /UVA), enhancing substantially the mineralization of n-decane molecules up to 100% under O3/dec feed molar ratio of 15, photonic flux of 2.67 ± 0.03 J s-1 and a residence time of2.0’s.
Photocatalytic Reduction of VOCs with Ag/Ni-Doped Photocatalyst in Different Temperature and Humidity Environments
Zeynep Cansu Ayturan,Sukru Dursun +1 more
TL;DR: Photocatalytic reduction of VOCs with Ag/Ni-doped photocatalyst is effective in removing benzene and toluene pollutants from flue gases under different temperature and humidity environments. The removal efficiency of toluene is higher than that of benzene. The optimal conditions for the process are 50% humidity and a 120 °C environment with the use of a 1% doped photocatalyst.
Improved ultrasonic degradation of hydrophilic and hydrophobic aldehydes in water by combined use of atomization and UV irradiation onto the mist surface.
TL;DR: The addition of H2O2 effectively improved the decomposition and mineralization rates for both hydrophilic and hydrophobic aldehydes owing to the generation of hydroxyl radicals on the surfaces of the mist particles, which greatly contributed to the gas-phase decomposition.
Application of vacuum-ultraviolet (VUV) for phenolic homologues removal in humic acid solution: Efficiency, pathway and DFT calculation.
TL;DR: Mechanism involved phenolic homologues degradation using vacuum-ultraviolet (VUV) was summarized, where it underwent the formation of quinone structures, ring opening, short-chain organic acid, even eventually the transformation into NO3- and Cl- of PNP and OCP.
Effect of surface fluorination of P25-TiO2 coated on nickel substrate for photocatalytic oxidation of methyl ethyl ketone in indoor environments
TL;DR: In this paper, the photocatalytic activities of P25 and surface fluorinated P25 (F-P25) coated on nickel foam were evaluated for degradation of methyl ethyl ketone (MEK).

TL;DR: The results suggest that, in addition to mitigating primary particulate emissions, reducing the emissions of secondary aerosol precursors from fossil fuel combustion and biomass burning is likely to be important for controlling China’s PM2.5 levels and for reducing the environmental, economic and health impacts resulting from particulate pollution.
