Abstract: This article describes a collaborative project between clinical staff development professionals and a university associate professor of nursing to increase implementation of evidence-based practice in a clinical setting. The faculty member served as a mentor, helping nurses at the point of care who often lack the knowledge and skills to integrate evidence into practice. Outcomes of this project of benefit to staff development included education of the nurses on evidence-based practice, integration of evidence into policies, and development of a sustainable process to increase evidence-based practice.
