Abstract: PURPOSE:To offer convenience to a user by displaying, and a map itself, mutual relation between adjacent maps and their connection by using a means which displays another divided maps whose central part is the boundary between the adjacent maps CONSTITUTION:For example, since the map an operator intended to have at first is not a map 101 but the map in the northeast, a map 103 is displayed; however, the required map is not 103 either but the map whose central part is the boundary between the maps 101 and 103, and therefore a map 102 is displayed In that way, the operator can display the map 102 when he wants to grasp the relation between the maps 101 and 103 That is, the relation between the maps 101 and 103 can be displayed as a collection 102 of another four divided maps, whose central part is the boundary between both the maps 101 and 103 Thus, the mutual relation between the adjacent maps can be grasped at a glance, and map retrieval and reference can be accurately and speedily achieved
