Abstract: The magnetic susceptibility at absolute-zero temperature for the one-dimensional Hubbard model is studied exactly as a function of the concentration of electrons by using Lieb and Wu's theory for this system. Our analysis essentially follows Griffiths's method for the magnetic susceptibility of the one-dimensional Heisenberg antiferromagnet, and is a generalization of Takahashi's calculation to the systems with an arbitrary concentration of electrons. The ground-state energy and the magnitude of local moments at each site are also studied. Combined with the results on the susceptibility, they should suggest how the effect of the Coulomb interaction on the properties of the system at low temperatures changes with the concentration of electrons.

Gap in the spin excitations and magnetization curve of the one-dimensional attractive Hubbard model.
TL;DR: The magnetic properties of a Hubbard chain with on-site attraction are studied as a function of the band filling and the gap in the magnetic excitation spectrum is calculated.
Effects of Next-Nearest-Neighbor Repulsion on One-Dimensional Quarter-Filled Electron Systems
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of the next-nearest-neighbor repulsion on electronic states of a one-dimensional interacting electron system which consists of a quarter-filled band and interactions of on-site and nearest-NEIGHBOR repulsion were examined.
Quantum embedding of multi-orbital fragments using the block-Householder transformation.
TL;DR: Saran et al. as discussed by the authors presented an extension of this approach to the more general case of multorbital fragments using the block version of the Householder transformation applied to the one-body reduced density matrix, unlocking the applicability to general quantum chemistry/condensed matter physics Hamiltonians.
Algebraic Bethe ansatz and tensor networks
TL;DR: This work applies the tools of tensor-network states to describe the eigenstates approximately as matrix product states, and obtains observables like the structure factor, dimer-dimer correlation functions, chiral correlated functions, and one-particle Green function directly.
Spin-charge separation in cold fermi gases: a real time analysis.
TL;DR: The robustness of this separation beyond the low-energy Luttinger liquid theory is shown by studying the time evolution of single particle excitations and density wave packets by the adaptive time-dependent density-matrix renormalization group method.

Absence of Mott Transition in an Exact Solution of the Short-Range, One-Band Model in One Dimension
Elliott H. Lieb,F. Y. Wu +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the short-range, one-band model for electron correlations in a narrow energy band is solved exactly in the one-dimensional case, and the ground-state energy, wave function, and chemical potentials are obtained, and it is found that the ground state exhibits no conductor-insulator transition as the correlation strength is increased.

Some Exact Results for the Many-Body Problem in one Dimension with Repulsive Delta-Function Interaction

Effect of Correlation on the Ferromagnetism of Transition Metals
TL;DR: In this paper, the wave function for the electrons is investigated when a set of narrow bands (valence states) has its energies within a wide band (conduction states), where the valence states are linear combinations of localized states which are attached to each lattice site.
