TL;DR: A resource for land managers and researchers on methods of lantana control, particularly biocontrol, can be found in this paper, where the authors present a survey of the most effective methods of control of Lantana camara.

Abstract: Lantana camara L. is a significant weed of which there are some 650 varieties in over 60 countries or island groups. It has been the focus of biological control attempts for a century, yet still poses major problems in many regions.
Lantana has a significant impact on economic and environmental areas and is difficult to control. The key to good management of lantana is constant vigilance. Repeated control of new regrowth is critical to success. Control of new infestations should be a priority because the species is able to expand its range during good seasons, but does not die out during poor conditions. This book is a resource for land managers and researchers on methods of lantana control, particularly biocontrol.

Comparison of germination rates and fruit traits of indigenous Solanum giganteum and invasive Solanum mauritianum in South Africa
TL;DR: Comparing the germination success of indigenous and invasive Solanum mauritianum, following ingestion by Red-winged Starlings and Speckled Mousebirds, can explain why fleshy-fruited exotics become highly invasive.

Eco-physiology and habitat invasibility of an invasive, tropical shrub (Lantana camara) in western Himalayan forests of India
TL;DR: In this article, the invasion status of one such noxious weed, lantana (Lantana camara), from the western Himalayan foothills was analyzed and a total of 122 plant species were recorded as associates from all infested sites comprising 73 shrubs, 39 herbs, five sedges, and three grasses belonging to 47 families.

Lantana (Lantana camara) Seed Bank Dynamics: Seedling Emergence and Seed Survival
TL;DR: Experimental data and model projections suggest that lantana has a persistent seed bank and this should be considered in management programs, particularly those aimed at eradication.

Temporal Patterns in Incidence and Abundance of Aconophora compressa (Hemiptera: Membracidae), a Biological Control Agent for Lantana camara, on Target and Nontarget Plants
TL;DR: It is suggested that sustained populations of A. compressa are found only on the introduced nontarget ornamental Citharexylum spinosum and the target weed L. camara, suggesting that the presence of populations on nontarget species may be a spill-over effect.

TL;DR: Case histories of selected invasive insects and plants are presented, discussing the damage they caused to native species, ecosystems, or biodiversity and why biological control was the approach chosen to attempt to reverse their effects.
