UnifiedSKG: Unifying and Multi-Tasking Structured Knowledge Grounding with Text-to-Text Language Models
Tianbao Xie,Chen Henry Wu,Peng Shi,Ruiqi Zhong,Torsten Scholak,Michihiro Yasunaga,Chien-Sheng Wu,Ming Zhong,Peng Yin,Sida Wang,Victor Zhong,Bailin Wang,Chengzu Li,Connor Boyle,Ansong Ni,Zhen Yao,Dragomir R. Radev,Caiming Xiong,Lingpeng Kong,Rui Zhang,Noah A. Smith,Luke Zettlemoyer,Tao Yu +22 more
- 16 Jan 2022
TL;DR: The U NIFIED SKG framework is proposed, which unifies 21 SKG tasks into a text-to-text format, aiming to promote systematic SKG research, instead of being exclu-sive to a single task, domain, or dataset.
Modeling, Detection, and Disambiguation of Sensor Faults for Aerospace Applications
TL;DR: In this paper, a neural network-based classifier was used to detect sensor faults in an electromechanical actuator in an aerospace setting, equipped with temperature, vibration, current, and position sensors.
Transient analysis of swelling-induced large deformations in polymer gels
TL;DR: In this article, a theoretical model is developed, and then implemented and solved using the finite element method to describe the swelling-induced large deformations in polymer gels, and the proposed approach is benchmarked against a recent experiment involving localized exposure of the gel boundary to a solvent, where large bending deformations appear during solvent absorption.

STransE: a novel embedding model of entities and relationships in knowledge bases
TL;DR: STransE is a simple combination of the SE and TransE models, but it obtains better link prediction performance on two benchmark datasets than previous embedding models, and can serve as a new baseline for the more complex models in the link prediction task.
Detection of recurring software vulnerabilities
Nam H. Pham,Tung Thanh Nguyen,Hoan Anh Nguyen,Tien N. Nguyen +3 more
- 20 Sep 2010
TL;DR: The evaluation for 60 vulnerabilities on 176 releases of 119 open-source software systems shows that SecureSync is able to detect recurring vulnerabilities with high accuracy and to identify 90 releases having potentially vulnerable code that are not reported or fixed yet, even in mature systems.

A framework for representing knowledge
Marvin Minsky
- 01 Jun 1974
TL;DR: The enormous problem of the volume of background common sense knowledge required to understand even very simple natural language texts is discussed and it is suggested that networks of frames are a reasonable approach to represent such knowledge.

From Frege to Gödel: a source book in mathematical logic, 1879-1931
Jean van Heijenoort
- 14 Jun 2021
TL;DR: The fundamental texts of the great classical period in modern logic, some of them never before available in English translation, are here gathered together for the first time as discussed by the authors, and they are presented with a note that sets it in perspective, explains its importance, and points out difficulties in interpretation.

Model design in the prospector consultant system for mineral exploration
Richard O. Duda,John Gaschnig,Peter E. Hart +2 more
- 01 Jan 1981
TL;DR: Prospector as mentioned in this paper is a computer consultant system intended to aid geologists in evaluating the favorability of an exploration site or region for occurrences of ore deposits of particular types, encoded in a computational model representing observable geological features and the relative significance thereof.

Meta-rules: Reasoning about control
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a framework for viewing issues of knowledge indexing and retrieval, a framework that includes what appears to be a useful perspective on the concept of a strategy.

On Representations of Problems of Reasoning about Actions
Saul Amarel
- 01 Jan 1981
TL;DR: In this article, the authors discuss the basic issues of choice of representation for problems of reasoning about actions and the relationship between different ways of formulating a problem to a problem solving system and the efficiency with which the system can be expected to find a solution.
