Abstract: The paper reports a study on the kinetic parameters of some thermoluminescent tissue equivalent materials recently prepared in Vinca Institute: Li2B4O7:Mn,Si, Li2B4O7:Cu, Li2B4O7:Cu,In and MgB4O7:Dy,Na. The kinetics parameters have been determined using several methods. The temperature lag effect, which could produce large errors in the parameters' determination when they are determined using high heating rates, has also been taken into consideration.

Z.G. Portakal-Uçar,Mustafa Oglakci,Virgilio Correcher,Muammer Sonsuz,Nuray Korkmaz Can,Yusuf Ziya Halefoglu,Mustafa Topaksu +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper , Tb3+ doped LaB3O6 phosphors with various dopant concentrations were synthesized via the combustion technique and X-ray diffraction patterns showed that both undoped and doped LBO6 samples matched PAN-ICSD reference, and the TL maximum was noted at a temperature of around 265 °C with a heating rate of 2 °C−1.

Influence of Li+ and Dy3+ on structural and thermoluminescence studies of sodium sulfate
TL;DR: In this article, the optical energy band gap (E g) was estimated from Wood and Tauc's relation, which varies from 3.70 to 4.45 eV, attributed to large degree of structural defects.

Glow Curves with General Order Kinetics
TL;DR: In this article, an effective method of calculating the activation energy is given, which is based on measuring the temperature at the maximum of the glow peak and the half intensity temperatures, and the results reveal the general characteristics of these peaks and their dependence on the parameters.

On the Calculation of Activation Energies and Frequency Factors from Glow Curves
TL;DR: In this article, a new method for calculating activation energies and frequency factors from thermoluminescence and thermally stimulated current peaks is described, which uses the total half width ω=T2−T1, where T1 and T2 are the half-intensity temperatures on the low and high-temperature side of the peak, respectively.
Thermoluminescence glow-curve deconvolution functions for first, second and general orders of kinetics
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a glow-curve deconvolution (GCD) function for first, second and general orders of kinetics, which can be obtained experimentally.

On the analysis of complex thermoluminescence. Glow-curves: Resolution into individual peaks
TL;DR: In this paper, a method for estimating the number and position of individual thermoluminescence (TL) peaks within a complex glow-curve is described, which involves partially heating the sample to a temperature TStop cooling to room temperature and re-heating to record all of the remaining glowcurve.
