TL;DR: Shirkov as discussed by the authors gave a dierent perspective on the ordinary quantum theory of a single spinless, positive msss-m particle on Rd−1, and investigated a special case that relates to the Gaussian path integral and the free quantum eld.

The quantum theory that one nds agrees with the usual picture of canonical quantization that one learns in standard eld theory. The quantum theory also comes with a representation of the inhomogeneous Lorentz group (the Poincar ́e group) that arises from an analytic continuation of the quantization of the Euclidean group. Thus the two fundamental points of view mesh to one. We rst investigate a special case that relates to the Gaussian path integral and the free quantum eld. We then give the general construction that applies for bosonic non-linear elds. Introduction to Quantum Field Theory. 24 ... In this chapter we give a dierent perspective on the ordinary quantum theory of a single spinless, positive msss-m particle on Rd−1. In this edition we have rewritten the chapters that discuss the methods of continuous integration and the renormalization group, which are two topics in theory that have become extremely important in recent years. We have also reworked and supplemented the sections on the complete Green functions. This work was done in an atmosphere of friendly advice and fruitful discussions with our colleagues from the Steklov Mathematical Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences and of the Laboratory of Theoretical Physics of the Joint Institute of Nuclear Studies, to whom we are extremely grateful. Tauberian Theorems for the Wavelet Transform
TL;DR: In this article, a complete wavelet analysis of asymptotic properties of distributions is carried out via Abelian and Tauberian type results, connecting the boundary wavelet transform with local and non-local quasiasymptotics of elements in the Schwartz class of tempered distributions.
“Massive” perturbative QCD, Regular in the IR limit
TL;DR: In this article, a modification of the perturbative QCD (pQCD) that should be regular in the low-energy region and could serve as a practical means for the analysis of data below 1 GeV down to the IR limit is proposed.
A ground state for the causal diamond in 2 dimensions
Niayesh Afshordi,Niayesh Afshordi,Michel Buck,Fay Dowker,Fay Dowker,Fay Dowker,David Rideout,Rafael D. Sorkin,Rafael D. Sorkin,Yasaman K. Yazdi +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the ground state is not the Rindler vacuum in the corner of the diamond, as might have been expected, but is instead the vacuum of a flat space in the presence of a static mirror on that corner.

TL;DR: For a low energy effective theory to admit a standard local, unitary, analytic and Lorentz-invariant UV completion, its scattering amplitudes must satisfy certain inequalities.
Elastic electron scattering in an intense field and two-photon emission
D. A. Morozov,V.I. Ritus +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the elastic scattering amplitude, taking into account the mass correction to the propagation function, is found for electrons interacting with an intense electromagnetic field characteristic of nonlinear quantum electrodynamics.
