Biofumigant effect of new defatted seed meals against the southern root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita
TL;DR: The effect of biofumigation on the nematode Meloidogyne incognita and that of biostimulation on tomato plants of 13 DSMs obtained from different Brassicaceae species at different levels of soil inoculation determined a clear positive effect on plant vigour.

Use of Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy to predict spoilage bacteria on aerobically stored chicken breast fillets
Amna Sahar,Eric Dufour +1 more
TL;DR: It is shown that MIR spectroscopy coupled with attenuated total reflectance (ATR) accessory can be used directly on the surface of meat samples to produce fingerprints.

Thin noise-reducing asphalt pavements for urban areas in Germany
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed, optimisation and evaluation of thin noise-reducing surface layers in Germany intended to be more durable than porous asphalts, thus providing better long-term acoustical properties.

A psychoacoustical model for specifying the level and spectrum of acoustic warning signals in the workplace.
TL;DR: A psychoacoustic model is presented to facilitate the installation of acoustic warning devices in noisy settings, reflecting a major upgrade of a former tool, Detectsound, and can be applied to a wider range of situations.

A tool for early workstation design for small and medium enterprises evaluated in five cases
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors described five case studies on production line design to study the effect of an early design support tool for small to medium-sized manufacturing enterprises, based on these case studies, the simple, interactive, real-time, medium-fidelity, mixed reality methodology was not only found to be a good early design stage evaluative tool for ergonomics and workflow, but a teaching tool as well.
